Day #1730 (Mon., Sep. 29, 2014) – How Was Your Day

Katie made a beautiful butterfly and flower scene out of foam today (see photo to the right).

All those television shows showing how kids came rushing home at the end of the day to tell their parents how their day went seem to be amiss…or at least as far as Katie goes. We continue to have a hard time to get her to tell us how her day at school was… Tonight I decided that I would try another tactic…

I turned off the television and told Katie that I would not turn it back on til she told me three things that she did at school. She replied, “How about one”? I held firm at three…and she eventually did give me three things. They were:

1) She played with Eleri.
2) She read a book about a goat and a chicken.
3) She played outside.

My wife asked me to take a peak into Katie’s room as I was passing by this evening. Katie had managed to take Isabelle the Giraffe to bed. This was to be the opening sequence in a rather long night as Katie would not go to bed.

The antics continued when she wanted to take the portable electronic piano into her room to dance. My wife and I held firm that she could have one dance, but it was out in the living room.

WHAT I LEARNED TODAY

1) I managed to squeeze three things that Katie did at school today.
