I got up early this morning and put some of the stones onto the potholes in our driveway. They cost me $12. Not a bad temporary solution to a $4000 problem (paving the rest of the driveway).
This morning Miss Laura asked my wife if she saw the carrots that Katie made yesterday (see photo to the left). She thought that they were really good. She said that Katie is very good with crafts and drawing and that she has a natural talent. We’re thinking of getting her a tutor when she grows older if she still likes this sort of thing. If you look at the art closely you will see that it is not a drawing…but little pieces of paper that have been assembled. Katie told me that the teacher cut these various pieces out.
Nicky has gone back to Oklahoma to a friend’s wedding so my wife took the afternoon off and took Katie to the science museum in Durham.
When I got home from work my wife was really tired so I tended to Katie while she took a nap. We ended up reading on my bed and watching “Casper’s Scare School” on Netflix.
