Day #1790 (Fri., Nov. 28, 2014) – Office Bye Bye – 2nd Time…
Here’s Katie’s dialog this morning: “Good morning Katie, how was your night? Good, although I didn’t get a chance to sleep since I was disturbed by reading books to the cats”.
I went to WalGreens today to pick up my wife’s prescription. While I was there I picked up a “Sophia The First” sticker book for Katie.
While at WalGreens I also inquired about popcorn kernels but they didn’t have them. No matter, I was able to find some in the freezer once I got home. I thought it might be a good idea to color some popcorn red and green with food dye and then use a needle and thread to make a Christmas tree decoration out of them. A slight problem…the watery dye mixture shrunk the popcorn (see photo to the left). I see on the web that there are other ways to dye popcorn so I might try them next.
My wife was lamenting today that she is losing her office for the second time. She lost her office in our Cary house once Katie was born…now she is losing her office to Katie once again. Some things never change…
This evening my wife moved the desk, the filing cabinet, and the safe from the office into the master bedroom. We also made plans to finish putting all the books into the office area in the basement. We’d like to have the room painted in the next week or two. In this way we can focus on little Bobby’s room in the new year.
