This morning I drove to Party City to pick up the pink cake plates that my wife wanted for Katie’s birthday party on Sunday. While there I picked up the Tinkerbell coloring book she expressed an interest in yesterday (see photo to the left). I also picked up some Ariel the Mermaid stickers to give her at a later date.
When my wife took a nap this afternoon Katie and I take turns making a story. I would say one sentence and she would say a sentence and we would go back and forth. One story went like this… “Once upon the time on the moon. There was a space seal. Who lived with his mommy and daddy. And they wouldn’t let him have an iPad”. Ugghhh!!! I thought we were done with the iPad. Katie did make an iPad out of Legos earlier today but I guess that is no substitute for the real thing.
I finished painting the walls in little Bobby’s room today. There were some streaks on the wall closest to the main bathroom so I took long roller strokes from the top to the bottom this time. That did the trick. Now to paint the closet doors white.
Katie is really into her little plastic ride-on trike (the one she dragged up from downstairs all by herself). It reminds me so much of the little plastic ride-on tractor I had as a child. At any rate, it was hard to sleep this evening as Katie managed to ride it into her room and was running into the walls with it.
