I called Everett about screening in the porch this morning. He was not available so I left him a message. It would be nice to have it up by the time little Bobby is born. From his availability it looks like that is not going to be possible.
Today Katie told my wife “Don’t touch Robin he’s poisonous”. An obvious reference to the flea/tick medicine I put on Robin’s head last night and the chat I had with Katie in the aftermath.
My wife had enough of being sick this afternoon so she went to urgent care. The doctor gave her a prescription for antibiotics.
Katie had a bath this evening. We always enjoy it when she has a bath as she is usually in a much better mood afterwards. I finishing putting all the wall outlet covers in place in little Bobby’s room this evening while Katie bathed.
Katie wanted to wrestle with me as soon as she got out of the tub. I showed her how to do my “Two Object Juggle” this evening. Impressive when you are a kid…not so much for adults.
For Katie’s bedtime story this evening I read her a book about the “Gods of Egypt” (see photo to the left). I told her the story of how Cleopatra was bitten by an asp. Of course Katie wanted to see a picture of an asp at that point so I tried to locate one in the “Art Linkletter Children’s Encyclopedia”.
After putting Katie to bed I went to Walgreens to pick up the antibiotics for my wife.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
——————–
1) Katie was fascinated with the asp that bit Cleopatra.
