Day #2379 (Sat., July 9, 2016) – Disassembling A Tower

Today is one of the first weekend days in a while in which we have not had a party or meeting or “something” to attend. As a result we just sat around the house and relaxed. Well, my wife’s back is out today so we “tried” to relax. She slept for about three hours this afternoon and felt much better afterwards.

The other day I made reference to the “Spoonful of Sugar” video that Bobby loves so much (see photo to the left). I’ll create a link to the YouTube video here so you can see it. I think he likes the “magical” part where the furniture seems to move about all by itself.

I showed Katie how to play hangman this morning. I told her how to pick the vowels and popular letters first. She wanted the hangman to be a princess an insisted on her having a crown.

I built a tower of blocks this afternoon and sang a song I made up. It goes “Daddy is building a tall tower and nobody can knock it down”. Bobby laughed and laughed as I prevented him from touching it. When I did let him touch it, to my surprise, he took the blocks off one by one and put them on the ground. I thought he would knock it down but he disassembled it.

Katie watched a lot of television today. She likes the Netflix shows “Canimals” and “Word Party”.
