Day #2556 (Mon., Jan. 2, 2017) – Katie’s Pie Palace
Last day of vacation for my wife, Katie and I. Tomorrow it is back to school and work.
Katie came up with the name of the pie shop she is going to open when she gets older. “Katie’s Pie Palace” (see photo to the right). It’s a perfect name for a pie shop. First you know that they sell “pies”. Secondly, the “palace” word denotes luxury and “the best”. Thirdly, you know that it is owned by “Katie” and brings that sense of local and family-friendly.
Bobby’s hair is getting long so my wife took him to CiCi’s for a haircut. Katie went along for the ride while I stayed home to tend to some business. Unlike last time Bobby gave CiCi no problems. It appears that the problem was the black smock that Katie put around his neck. My wife asked her not to put it on him today and there were no problems.
After the haircut, my wife took Katie and Bobby to McDonald’s for lunch. It seems that Katie likes hamburgers at Wendy’s much better.
Katie has been rather fussy for the past number of days. We are not sure why, but perhaps it is due to the antibiotics that she has been on. They are over now so maybe things will calm down.
Katie and Bobby have devised a new game. Katie will say “Go” and Bobby will run from the dining room to the living room and touch the couch. When she says “Go” again he will run back to the trampoline. He doesn’t seem to realize, or even care, that he is doing all the work…
When Bobby is playing he will often come up to me when I’m sitting on the LazyBoy and say “Up”. One he gets up on my tummy he will look around for the remote. One he gets the remote he will say “Man”. He has a plan…
