Day #2713 (Thu., Jun. 8, 2017) – Celebrating Kid’s Birthdays
My wife took Katie to school this morning so I tended to Bobby til Cameron came at 8 am. While I was making bacon Bobby noticed the smoke that was forming on the kitchen ceiling. I said “it’s a fire Bobby” and he ran to the living room to get his big fire engine. He brought it to the kitchen and proceeded to go through the motions of dealing with the fire.
At Katie’s school today they were celebrating the birthdays of the kids who were born in May, June and July. My wife took this lovely photo of Katie helping a fellow student (see photo to the right).
Cameron mentioned that Bobby’s speech has improved during the week she was away on vacation. His talk is becoming more and more understandable.
Bobby likes to recite the song “Johnny Johnny Yes Papa”. He will start with “Johnny Johnny” (or something similar to that, but this is what he means), and we will respond with “Yes Papa”, and so it goes. He gets a kick out of this…I think mostly because of the interaction he has with others.
I’m cleaning out the desk at the office. They want us to start working from home two days out of the week starting next Monday. I have a “bed desk” in the living room that needs to be assembled. That’s the next thing now that Bobby’s bed is done.
