Day #2758 (Sun., Jul. 23, 2017) – Jasmine Arrives
I went to the gym this morning and this gave me the opportunity to run some errands. I dropped three boxes of clothes off at “Apt. G” (Arnesa’s neighbor). I then went to the gym and on the way home I stopped off at Wal-Mart this afternoon to return the cheaper modem/router as the more expensive one works just fine.
I also went to the Dollar Store to pick up some “welcome” gifts for Jasmine’s three girls: Veidika, Ellie, and Aurna (as well as Katie and Bobby). I got all four girls a princess coloring book, some Shopify stickers, and a package of 20 markers. I got the same markers for Bobby, but also an “ABC Coloring Book” and some Spiderman stickers. Katie and I spent the afternoon packaging them up in nice pink wrapping paper and a white ribbon.
Someone nearby was giving away a kid’s bed so my wife bundled up the kids and went and got it. You can see Bobby testing it out in the photo to the left. Veidika will sleep with Katie this evening. The other two girls will sleep on this bed in the 2nd bedroom with their mother and grandmother.
There is a lot to do in order to get the place in shape for the visitors, but with two kids going behind us and making more of a mess we kind of gave up and just did the best we could. The house looks “lived in” and will only look more “lived in” when three more girls get added into the mix.
Jasmine arrived at 7:30pm with her mother and three girls.
It was hard to get all the girls to bed this evening (Bobby too), which was to be expected.
