Day #2833 (Sun., Oct. 8, 2017) – Pappa John’s Pizza
It was a rough night for daddy. I woke up around 2 am with a pain in my leg. realizing that it would be another three hours before I could have another pain pill, it was going to be a bit of a haul. Fortunately, I was tired, so I nodded off to sleep again for a couple of times. At 5:00 am I awoke from sleep once again, my leg throbbing in pain. I was able to take another pill at this point in time, and once it kicked in, I dozed off for a good long sleep.
Bobby had a great appetite this morning. In fact, whatever my wife cooked for me, he wanted. He ended up having some of my bread with almond butter, and some of my scrambled eggs as well. Katie, well Katie, it’s always a bit of a challenge to get her to eat. She did like the Trader Joe’s pumpkin bread that my wife made. I found this is especially a nice treat when you put mascarpone cheese on top.
Bobby was running around with a modified Batman costume today (see photo to the left). He even had a little felt cat tail tucked into his pants (not shown).
While I was sleeping Elaina came over to meet my wife. She will be helping with the duties to pick up Katie after school. She will be able to even stick around for a few hours after she brings Katie home to play with the kids.
We ordered two large pizzas from Pappa Johns’ this evening. One was meat based and the other one was Hawaiian based with diced pineapple. They have a new feature on their website where you can see the progress of the pies from cooking to packaging to delivery. Katie was fascinated with this.
