The photo to the right shows the aluminum hinge that I made for my laptop screen. The screen hinge broke and this is needed to prevent it from falling over. There is a little bit of sentiment in regards to this laptop…that’s why I want to keep it around for a bit longer. I bought this 3 or 4 months after Katie was born and it is still going.
I went to see the knee surgeon today and he was impressed with the progress I have made. They took x-rays and he said that I still have a year or two left in the cartilage in my other knee, so I get to keep my other knee for a bit longer. He said that if I lose more weight it will possibly last 3-4 years, so a good motivating factor. So, I will be starting back to work tomorrow.
On the drive over to the hospital I noticed that my eye was red, so after seeing the doctor we went to see the optometrist. No pink eye, but there was some sort of metal or aluminum fragments in my eye. Possibly from the sheet metal that I had cut from Lowe’s last night.
A bit of drama at Katie’s school today. The teacher took her aside and told her that some kids were complaining that she would not let them play in the mango game. We know that some of the kids in the class lie, so we’ll have to get to the bottom of this. Katie cried about this all night. We’ll bring it up in our meeting with Sharon tomorrow morning.
We are going to be sponsoring a child in St. Thomas. My wife had me pick up some photo cards of us at Walgreens to send to them.
