Day #2906 (Wed., Dec. 20, 2017) – Scissors Are Sleeping
My wife drove Katie and Helen to school this morning. Katie was not feeling well as she left the car but my wife said that she would come and get her if she did not improve in school. Well, once she got in school everything was fine and no phone call. It seems that once you get her into school things look up for her. Looks like this is what we are going to have to do moving forward.
I went to see the new Star Wars movie (i.e.: “The Last Jedi”) this afternoon at the SilverSpot in Chapel Hill. I went to see the 3D Version and I am convinced that I will need to see all Star Wars movies in 3D from now on. With the spaceships looming in and out it is so much more spectacular.
I picked up a donut for Katie at Dunkins this evening (see photo to the right). She was waiting for it when I got home. She seemed so happy all evening…no doubt because she was able to conquer the fear of going to school. Tomorrow is her last school day of the year so hopefully she will be able to attend.
We ask: Bobby, what are you doing?
Bobby: ‘shhhh’.
Me: Bobby, why do we need to be quiet?
Bobby: ‘shhh, scissors are sleeping’
