Day #2921 (Thu., Jan. 4, 2018) – Happy Birthday Katie!
Our little girl turns eight years old today, and to celebrate the occasion we have a dusting of snow outside. Everything in our town has practically been shut down, so I spent some time this morning outside with the kids playing in the snow (see photo to the left).
Wyatt, our neighbor, came over to play just before noon. The walkie-talkies are always a hit when Wyatt comes over. Bobby enjoys having Wyatt around as he likes to do “boy things” like play with cars and such.
Katie and Wyatt are really going to miss each other when Wyatt and his family move to Germany at the end of the month. Both are “sensitive” kids and can relate to each other. The family is supposed to move back in three years, but you know how these things go. They will have to keep in touch via letters and Skype.
Wyatt accidentally broke a tooth this afternoon. Apparently, Katie and he were “roughhousing” and she accidentally kicked him in the mouth.
