My wife and I were in the backyard this morning building a snowman. We ended up building three snowmen actually, a man, his wife, and their baby (see photo to the right). Katie wanted the man and woman to be holding hands. It was going to warm up this afternoon so we knew that this might be the last time this year in which we would get this done. In fact, the man had topped over and the other two were melting fast by the time I got home from errands this afternoon.
Katie went with the Bosnians to the library this afternoon while I did some errands.
I stopped off at the Dollar Store and Five Below to pick up some toys for Bobby to play with in the evening. He’s getting more active and restless so it’s important to keep him busy so he doesn’t complain about wanting to see Katie when she is doing her piano practice in the evening.
My goal was to get some Play Doh and a little bag of dinosaurs at the Dollar Store (check), and some sort of a 3-year old board game at Five Below (check). I also got other toys to play with since they were so cheap. Such as:
- Don’t Spill The Beans (Five Below)
- Frog jumping game (Dollar Store)
- Alphabet Blocks (Dollar Store)
- Hot Wheels Type Track & Loop (Five Below)
All these items should keep us busy for quite a few evenings.
