Day #2959 (Sun., Feb. 11, 2018) – Don’t Spill The Beans

Bobby opened the door to the bedroom this morning and walked right in. I need to get the lock on the bedroom door done today.

2018-02-11 - TJ's StrawberriesThe only way to get him out of my room without making a lot of noise was to show him a “Special Present” that I got for Katie and him. It’s called the “Don’t Spill The Beans” game and we played it on the dining room table while my wife slept in. It said 3+ on it, but Bobby was not in the frame of mind to put just one bean on the plate. He wanted to overload them and see it tip over. Needless to say, the game did not proceed in the way that Katie and I would have liked.

I did manage to put the lock on the bedroom door this morning. Now Bobby will not be able to “come on in” whenever he pleases. I also took the little “string hook” contraption that I had on the door to the front door. Now he will not be able to get out of the house and wander off when he pleases. I miss the days when he was more stationary and not as mobile. Being as adventurous as he is, causes a lot of trouble for us.

This afternoon Bobby and Katie were playing outside and Bobby ran inside with an earthworm. We are used to Katie bringing various little “critters” into the house, but I think this is the first time Bobby brought one home.

I went to Trader Joe’s for supplies this evening. They were out of tomatoes and their strawberries were less than desirable. They were juicy and red and even had stems on them, but there were too few of them in the box (see photo to the left). On Thursday Amazon announced that they would have two-hour delivery for Prime members before the end of the year. With Amazon’s changes and Wegman’s coming to town, they are going to have to “up their game” or they will be left behind.
