Arnesa and family and the Bosnians came over this morning to celebrate Easter. Before they arrived I went outside to hide the Easter eggs in the front yard.
After everyone had arrived, a little after 9:30 am, we assembled around our big dining room table for breakfast. This was the first time my wife got to try out the drink disposal unit that she purchased at Sam’s Club a week or so ago.
Some of the highlights (or lowlights) of the breakfast were:
- My wife had to bake twice the amount of egg casserole. Everyone loved it, so this was a good idea.
- My wife made a point of mentioning that the bacon was “turkey” bacon.
- Letitia was not allowed a chocolate donut as chocolate affects her badly. She was upset at this.
When the breakfast was over my wife and Katie gave everyone a piano duet performance. They had “back-to-back” pianos.
We then all went outside so that the kids could hunt for the Easter eggs. Everyone seemed to enjoy this except for Omer, who was more interested in playing on Bobby’s ride-on vehicles.
This afternoon I put the Easter eggs that I purchased at the Dollar Store last night in our backyard and made a treasure map of where they were (see photo to the right). Katie and Bobby will hunt for them this afternoon when Bobby gets up from his nap.
This afternoon my wife took Katie to an art lesson and Easter egg hunt organized by the Chinese family in our neighborhood that my wife met last night. When Bobby got up from his nap my wife came back and got him. I went to the gym.
