Day #3042 (Sat., May 5, 2018) – We Pick Kentucky Derby Horses
I did the furthest walk since my knee surgery today, to Jui-Lan’s house and back. Steve drove his car by and we asked him about his trip to Maine. He and his wife went there for a vacation last weekend.
I see that the family name sign on the top of our mailbox is down (see photo to the left). One more thing to fix once I am “up and running” again.
I’ve been able to sit for longer periods of time on the LazyBoy in the living room. This surgery recovery is a bit different from the last in that I don’t have a sinus infection.
The Kentucky Derby was on television this afternoon. As in previous years, we all picked a horse. Even Bobby picked a horse this year. “Justify” won the race, and none of us picked that horse. Katie’s horse, “Good Magic”, came in second though.
There is a show on Netflix called “The Pyramid Code”, about Egypt and the pyramids. Katie expressed an interest in it so we watched some of it.
Bath night for the kids tonight. Katie doesn’t like to have her hair washed so my wife created a game where Bobby does it.
