The photo to the right shows the recycling truck that is up and running again after a good “drying”.
There was a birthday party for Sophia today (her mother is one of Arnesa’s friends). My wife took the kids to the party, which was effectively a hide along a trail near Pittsboro. It was rainy and muggy and she said I was lucky I didn’t go (can’t think of anything I would have hated more). Bobby had a blast, but since all the kids were of Bobby’s age, Katie was quite bored.
This afternoon I went to the Chelsea Theater to see the Michael Moore film “Fahrenheit 11/9”. It’s just up the street but this is the first time I had ever been there. It almost shut down but there was a movement to save it and here it is, back again for one more round. Tickets were $8. The door to the coffee shop, Joe Van Gogh, which is next door, was open. The sloping floor reminded me of the Royal Theater in Truro.
Maple chomped on Bobby’s squirt gun today. Little plastic pieces all over the place.
Katie complains a lot about the piano but is quite good at it. I wished that she had:
1) More of a desire to learn things like this.
2) Not be so hard on herself…let herself to not be perfect.
My wife sent out this email to the mothers in Bobby’s class: “I really wanted to share this info. I’ve been taking my Katie to these concerts for years, but Bobby was always too little. Recently I found out that a day before (Saturday Oct 20th at 9 am in this case) they have dress rehearsals and encourage little ones to attend. Bobby is currently obsessed with learning names of all orchestra instruments, so we plan on giving it a try on Saturday morning! Maybe someone would like to join us?”.
