Day #3350 (Sat., Mar. 9, 2019) – Bobby’s Birthday Party

Even though Bobby’s birthday is officially on Monday, we celebrated it today. To start things off we gave him the “Big Track” for his Hot Wheels cars in the AM. We figured the kids would like to play with it when they come over to our house after visiting the fire station and police station.

The first stop was the fire station down the street. They guys gave us a tour of their building, demonstrated how to put fire gear on, and showed us all the various features of their truck.

The next stop was the police station down the street. We were met by a policewoman who took us to a conference room where they had Q&A and showed us various items such as handcuffs and a bullet-proof vest. The highlight of this visit had to be a tour of a police car. They even let Bobby, being the birthday boy, turn the siren on (see photo to the left).

Next on the agenda was our house where we had pizzas ready for the kids. We then sang Happy Birthday to Bobby and he blew out the “4-Year-Old” candle. People were saying how great the cake was…and it was basically just TJ mix with some chocolate frosting.

The kids got into the presents and ripped all the packaging off them, so it’s kind of hard to figure out who gave what. They all left around 1 pm… time to put the kids to bed. In fact, all of us, even Katie, had a nap.
