Day #3406 (Sat., May 4, 2019) – Bikeathon & Kayaking
Maple destroyed the seat on the bike that Miss Laura gave Katie (see photo to the right).
I stayed home and worked this morning while my wife took Bobby and Katie to a bike fund raiser at Bobby’s preschool. I guess that Katie loved riding around and around the track (i.e.: 43 loops), but Bobby soon lost interest. He sat on the side and talked to Vivian, his classmate, most of the time.
This afternoon my wife took the kids kayaking on the Haw river.
The Kentucky Derby was on television this afternoon, and as we usually do, we all picked a horse. My wife was exempt as she had heard the winner on the news. As it turns out, the horse that Katie picked won (i.e.: Maximum Security), but was later disqualified.
