Day #3499 (Mon., Aug. 5, 2019) – Spence’s Farm

The kids went to Spence’s Farm for camp this morning. Katie has been there many times, but this will be Bobby’s first “week long” day camp there. He has been there for visits though…such as their annual Halloween event.

Katie tells me that since they usually get there early they play in the playground until Mr. Spence gathers them together for a “talk”. This will center around one word usually, such as “Friendship”. They then indicate what sort of activities they want to do this week.

Katie was helping out in the kitchen this afternoon. I guess they made pear jam. Bobby, on the otherhand, enjoyed going down the zip line and playing on their large waterslide. From what I can ascertain from Bobby, this is built upon “black paper” (I bet black plastic sheeting like the roofers use) with water running down it.

I spent a lot of the day today cleaning up the office. I found a “Flash” figure for Bobby (see photo to the right).

The kids were very tired this evening and went to bed early. Such is the case when you are outside enjoying the air. Bobby actually finished his dinner and came to the bedroom to watch television and asked me to get him two more “grilled cheese” sandwiches.
