Day #3579 (Thu., Oct. 24, 2019) – Blue Ribbon Bobby
After Bobby’s nap we went to the NC State Fair. We should have gone earlier as we got stuck in a traffic jam and I had to drop them off as there was no handicapped parking. Eventually I found one and rejoined the group. Today is “Can Day”, so 6 Food Lion cans will get you in.
Bobby won a blue ribbon at the pig race this year as his duck came in first! I got food for the family as we watched… $27 for 6 hot dogs and 2 lemonade.
My wife took Bobby on a small roller coaster while Katie and I watched. We then went to the other end of the park so Katie could have a pony ride (Bobby too).
We took the gondola ride back to the other end of the park. It cost us $20 and it was the scariest ride there as I was afraid that Bobby would fall out. I held onto him tight. We saw the monster trucks performing nearby.
The kids then went on a few more rides, including a doggie one (see photo to the right). Katie wanted to be alone with Bobby in one in case another child wanted to spin it around.
We then bought some cotton candy and headed for home.
