Day #3590 (Mon., Nov. 4, 2019) – Bobby’s Nap Ritual
Winter came quickly this year. My wife didn’t get a chance to get a good winter coat for Katie at a consigment sale, so she got a pink one from Amazon (see photo to the left).
I took Bobby to school and picked him up at 1 pm. A bit of a change today in that it was not too hard to get him to go home at 1 pm … sometimes he “balks” and causes a scene. I told him that I had a present for him at home. Well, unfortunately, he didn’t like the yellow ATV I got him at the Dollar Store…he said that his color was red.
Here’s the ritual that I have in putting Bobby to bed. First I put a YouTube show on that he likes. I will then get his giraffe and throw it to him on the couch. I can judge how tired he is based upon how hard he munches on it. Next I will get a big tub of Greek yogurt and put an applesauce pouch in it. When he is done eating I tell him that I will race him to the bathrom. After peeing I will change him into his diaper and pretend that Stink Fly is trying to get his giraffe and give it to daddy as giraffy likes daddy better. I will march my fingers up his back as he tries to hide giraffy. He giggles when I get up to his neck. I will then say good night, roll over and pretend to yawn and snore. Soon he will be out… 🙂
My wfe took Katie to both dance and Chinese class today. I made pizza for when they get home at 6 pm.
