Day #3916 (Fri., Sep. 25, 2020) – Report Cards

The photo to the left shows one of the books that Katie has been reading recently… “The Sister’s Grimm”.

Bobby and Katie got their report cards back today… First Bobby…

Quarter 1 Comments
Class Participation: Bobby is off to a great start in Kindergarten. Bobby has consistently attended our Google Meet classes and participates actively. Bobby arrives on time and ready to learn each day. Based on our observations, Bobby seems engaged in the learning process. He listens attentively during instruction.
Assignment Completion: Bobby has turned in work on a consistent basis. We love seeing his excellent work on Seesaw!
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Being Part of the Community: Bobby knows how to take turns during online sessions and can mute and unmute the microphone to speak. Bobby is positive and friendly in his interactions with others.
Academic Progress: Bobby has indicated by his work and participation in class that he understands the Chinese/mathematics concepts taught up to this point in the quarter. He is consistently working in a successful manner. Bobby’s school work demonstrates understanding of the literacy concepts
taught this quarter, including tracking text, recognizing beginning sight words, naming letters and letter sounds and recognizing rhymes. We are still in the process of collecting data to get a full picture of where students are academically.

We also received Katie’s progress report, but we are in the process of following up with the teacher as he mentioned she missed some assignments. We later found that he didn’t find them for some reason?

The mechanism that shifts gears on Katie’s bike has broken. Not sure why, but I’m in the process of trying to figure out how to fix it. It’s not an expensive bike, and since Katie doesn’t shift gears I might just cut it off…
