Day #272 (Sat., Oct. 2, 2010) – Little Katie’s Top Teeth
My wife wanted me to add this note to the blog. Little Katie was nursing around 3am and gave her that big, big smile…like she used to do when she was first born. The look of utter contentment and happiness.
I slept in this morning. I was awaken by the sound of a chipmunk roaming around upstairs…
The photo to the left is very special. It clearly shows little Katie’s top front teeth. It was taken when I arrived home from work last night. My wife had her in her arms and she was so happy to see me that she lunged for me with mouth wide open. I happened to have a camera in my hands at the time and VOILA! A clear capture of both top and lower teeth.
Little Katie got to try out the new car seat in my Camry this afternoon as my wife and I took little Katie shopping. She wore jeans for the first time. My wife and I had sandwiches at a sandwich shop down the street (little Katie got to sit in a restaurant high chair for the first time) while little Katie enjoyed: jarred prunes, yogurt and milk.
My wife bought a dress for Katie in August (for use next summer…it’s size is for a 2-year old). She was wearing clothes for an 18-month old, but since her growth spurt last week she has started wearing clothes for 2-year olds! We exchanged that dress for a larger size…one that a 3-year old could wear.
While my wife did some additional shopping I took little Katie to see the carousel. We found a nice play area with a huge plastic bee hive. We were the only ones there….but little Katie enjoyed roaming around and looking at all the sights.
