Maple loves the silk sheets on Katie’s bed (see photo to the left).
The swing arrived today. We got the rope and the fishing line the other day. We still have to get the stakes and bow & arrow from Amazon. With these supplies I will be able to start putting up the swing in our front yard. It was raining for most of the day, so I would not have been able to put it up had I had all of the supplies.
Here’s my “thought process”. Tie one end of the fishing line to the end of an arrow. Use the “bow & arrow” to shoot this arrow over the tall limb of the big tree in our front yard. Tie one end of the rope to the fishing line that came over the tree limb and bring the rope over the tree limb. Tie this end of the rope to the swing, and wrap the other end and length of rope around the tree trunk and a surrounding tree. With adjustments, the kids should be able to have a great swing ride to enjoy during these days of COVID-19.
This works in theory anyway… Let’s see how it works in reality…
