Day #4041 (Thu., Jan. 28, 2021) – Snow Day
There was a dusting of snow on the ground this morning. All four of us, with Maple too, went outside to play. The snow started to melt soon after we got outside. There was a bright sun and not a cloud in the sky. The ice droplets started to fall from the trees so it seemed like it was snowing.
Katie tried to use a sled on the side of a hill, but there was not enough snow (see photo to the right). In fact, the snow is rather wet, not really conducive to a good sled ride.
Bobby enjoyed making snowballs. My wife made little snow balls and hung them from the trees.
I might have some black plastic underlayment in the basement. If not, we should definitely buy some. We can spread it out on the driveway before the snow comes down next time and then collect it into a pile by bringing the corners of the underlayment together. Snow is so rare down here in North Carolina you sometimes have to take drastic measures to gather it.
