Day #4128 (Sun., Apr. 25, 2021) – Adjusting The Swing

It rained all day yesterday so I reaped the rewards today as far as “pollen” is concerned. I was much more energetic this morning and my eyes were not itchy. It was not to last long though…the symptoms came roaring back this afternoon.

I fixed the swing this morning. It was a bit low, so I raised it. It can be a bit hard juggling the height so that both Bobby and Katie can both enjoy it.

While I was fixing the swing I took the opportunity to check the rope that goes over the branch. The good news is that the orange outer layer is intact (see photo to the right). The sheath is doing it’s job on the branch as far as daily “wear and tear”.

The “compressed” part of the rope needs to be inspected further, so I cut this length off to examine. I put the “black marker” area on the rope this time so that I can determine the length of rope that I have examined for rips or tears.

The fence guy came this afternoon to do a bit more work. Maple is really looking forward to being able to go outside again.
