Day #4140 (Fri., May 7, 2021) – Happy Meal
The power went out in the neighborhood this afternoon. We decided to take a drive around town to see what’s up. We thought it would be a nice treat for the kids to go to McDonalds as they have not had a Happy Meal in quite a while. So off we went…
For the choice of Happy Meals Katie choose a cheeseburger and Bobby chose McNuggets. The toy is of course the highlight of the meal (see photo to the right). I myself had a Big Mac meal. My wife decided to not have anything.
McDonalds, as usual, messed up the order. We ordered two ice cream cones for the kids but they forgot to give them to us, so we went back through the drive-thru again. Sometimes you feel like sitting just outside the pickup window and eating so that you will be able to ask them for “whatever” else they miss from your order. That would make for one interesting YouTube video.
The power came back on at 6:45 pm this evening. We were soon home. Bobby doesn’t care for drives much anymore. He keeps saying that it makes his stomach sore. Perhaps he is getting motion sickness much more often as he gets older.
There is an issue cleaning Katie’s ears every morning. My wife cleans them with a little tool, but Katie complains that it hurts. I suggested a compromise… Katie use the tool and my wife inspects the work after it is done.
