Day #4403 (Tue., Jan. 25, 2022) – Back To In-Person Classes

Today is the first day back to “in-person” classes for Katie and Bobby.  My wife took Bobby to school, and I was on standby to take Katie to school, but my wife was able to make it back home on time after dropping Bobby off and took Katie as well.

Bobby jumped right out of the car when my wife arrived at Glenwood, even though he didn’t know where to go.  My wife walked him to the door, and a lady took him to class.  Katie was nervous as my wife dropped her off.  She had quite the “bunch of stuff” to carry, a knapsack full of books, her lunch, and her viola as well.

As it turns out, things went great for the kids. We received a text from Ms. Wu, Bobby’s teacher, who said “Bobby did a great job transitioning to in-person learning.  We are very proud of him.

When the time came, I went to pick Bobby up at Glenwood and my wife picked up Katie at Phillips.  Katie made a lot of new friends today and was very excited to share the news when she got home.

Once they were both home we decided to celebrate!  I drove to McDonald’s (their choice of meals) and stopped off at Dunkin Donuts for a dozen donuts as well.  We watched “Night at the Museum” on the living room tv as we munched away.

All in all, great day for the kids!
