Day #4482 (Thu., Apr. 14, 2022) – Last Day Of School
Today is the last day of school. The kids are off tomorrow for the long Easter weekend.
The photo to the left shows the pollen that accumulated on my car windshield overnight. This is the “stuff” that gives me so many problems…
On the drive to school this morning Bobby and I talked about Queen Elizabeth II. He asked me if her mom was Queen Elizabeth I, and I went into a discussion of how there was Queen Victoria and King George (and perhaps others) in between them.
Bobby had peach parfait for school lunch today, which is his favorite. I guess they didn’t want to send the kids off on the long weekend with some chicken terriyaki (which Bobby hates).
My wife called up the tattoo artist and got another earring for Katie. One of them fell out the other day. We had to pay for it (of course), but we could put it in ourselves.
Katie and Murren are working on creating a musical together. One of the lines is about “sipping a cup of ginger tea”. I’m not even sure if they have ever had ginger tea… It’s rather disgusting…
Bobby had me get him a bowl of strawberry ice cream before bed this evening. The kids don’t seem to eat bowls of ice cream like they used to. They are more into frozen treats these days.
