Day #4542 (Mon., Jun. 13, 2022) – Ocracoke Beach
We were tired after a long day of travelling so we all slept in this morning. The photo to the left shows our lovely accommodation. I sleep in the main building and my wife has a bed in the cottage with the kids elated to each have a nice little room in the loft overhead.
When we did get up it was time to go to the beach. I took the RC cars we picked up at Amazon and Bobby and I had fun racing them around the beach. A nearby dog went crazy when she saw it! After a quick smell, and realizing it was not a live creature, she lost interest.
While at the beach my wife got a chance to try out the sand castle kit she purchased from Amazon. IT works great! I spent most of the time trying to make sure that the beach umbrella didn’t blow away!
We haven’t been to the beach in a while so we weren’t too careful about getting sunburnt or dealing with the sand fleas… 🙂 Nothing really bad…just something to remember!
We had mini pizzas from the variety store for lunch.
Later this afternoon my wife took the kids on a long walk to the British Cemetery.
