Day #4591 (Mon., Aug. 1, 2022) – Rice Krispie Treats
I thought I would try to make some organic gummy bears for the kids today. I found a recipe on the internet that used gelatin, and I’m not sure if it was because the mix was bad or “what”, but they didn’t turn out very well. In fact they tasted horrible!!! I did make some rice krispie treats later in the day and the kids LOVED them! (see photo to the right). I added some of the colored rice flakes that we had to the regular rice krispies for that extra splash of color!
I found this little Lego house instructional video on YouTube and Katie and Bobby have been helping me make it.
My wife took Katie to Tinsley’s house for a playdate this afternoon. They played some board games and then went outside so Tinsley’s two younger sisters could have a squirt gun fight. Katie told me that Tinsley’s two younger sisters were all over her! Tinsley apologized, but apparently they love to crawl all over her as well! I think Katie actually liked it!
While my wife took Katie to Tinsley’s house I found an old harmonica in one of the Lego boxes. We enjoyed playing it and hearing Maple “howl”… 🙂 My wife told me that dogs actually like to do this as it is like wolf’s singing.
