Day #4600 (Wed., Aug. 10, 2022) – Popsicles!
I took the kids to the Clark Pool this afternoon. We stayed there for an hour. Time to enjoy the pool while we can… The fall will be here before you know it! I put one end of a noodle up against the jacuzzi type vent on the pool and the water squirted through it into the pool. Kind of like a makeshift squirt gun. Bobby got into the act as well. I had to get him to stop as we don’t want other kids taking something like this too far.
I went to Aldi this afternoon for more groceries. We are out of milk (of course). I didn’t get any chocolate milk as Bobby has been really into his strawberry milk drink as of late.
Aldi has the “Bomb Pop” popsicles that the kids like so much (see photo to the left). Bobby always complains that Katie eats the box so fast he can hardly get one. I told Katie to give one to Bobby a couple of times today so that he can try them as well.
At Aldi I picked up some precooked bacon. The kids really liked it. My wife said that she prefers turkey bacon.
The checkout guy at Aldi told me that between 3:30 pm and 4:00 pm is the best time to come. It is quite busy in the morning and at nights. The best way to check out is to take your shopping cart to the car and unload the groceries into bags in your trunk, and take the shopping cart back. In this way you don’t need to lug all these bags of groceries to the car. Let the shopping cart do the work… 🙂
