Day #4646 (Sun., Sept. 25, 2022) – Burger King!
I was thinking of having a Daddy/Daughter Day with Katie today, but she is under the weather due to the COVID shot she got yesterday. So, I took Bobby out for Daddy/Son Day #55 instead. I will take Katie out for Daddy/Daughter Day when she feels better.
Bobby wanted to go to Burger King today! He remembers the time that I brought a Burger King burger back for him about a year ago. So, off we went for Daddy/Son Day #55. I was thinking of going to the Burger King in Durham, but remembered that we had one in Carrboro. You can see Bobby with one of their kid’s meals in the photo to the left. While we were out my wife texted and said that Katie has never eaten at Burger King and would like me to bring back something, so I got her a Kid’s meal as well.
While driving Bobby and I talked about a number of things. Some of the highlights were:
Bobby told me that the three nicest people he has met are:
- Carson, who goes to school with Dylan.
- Walker (who shows him to the cars at the Glenwood pickup line).
- Ethan Johnston, his friend.
We talked about the various types of bears out there, in terms of the most dangerous to the least dangerous. Here’s our list…

We also talked about the Orca movie that came out in 1977 when I was a teenager.
My wife and I went to the basement this afternoon and went through the book shelves in the spare bedroom. I threw out about half of my books as they were mostly old programming books. The other half I kept, but will “weed” out a bunch of those in the future I’m sure…
