Day #4657 (Thu., Oct. 6, 2022) – Creek Walk

My wife is still not feeling 100% so I took Katie to school this morning.  This is also Bobby’s last day home due to school restrictions placed on those who have COVID.  He’s not too excited about going back to school tomorrow morning.

Bobby mentioned that my car is older and dirtier than most cars in the lineup to pick him up at Glenwood, so I thought I would take it out and get it washed today.  The first thought is that Bobby and I could wash it ourselves, but a car wash would do a much better job.  Well, I went all over looking for an automatic car wash.  I did find one, at the gas station near the McDonalds on the way to Pittsboro, but it didn’t take credit cards and when I went to get a code, the store itself was shut down due to the gas pumps breaking down.  Bad timing.  I drove all over the Chapel Hill area looking for another one, to no avail.  I will check back later but might end up having to go to a hand wash car wash.

My wife is still not 100%, so I picked up Katie at school today (see photo to the left).  She mentioned that Jackie, who likes her, keeps giving her candy.  She’s a nice girl and doesn’t want to hurt feelings, but wished they would just leave her alone.

After school today Katie and Bobby walked along the creek behind our house, followed the trail, and came back to our house.  A nice little workout.

My wife is feeling better this evening.  Does/did she have COVID?  The home test says NO, but then why is she sick?  I’m feeling fine today…  Good enough to go looking for a car wash at any rate.
