Day #4676 (Tue., Oct. 25, 2022) – PJ Day!
We had a hard time figuring out what snack to put into Bobby’s lunch today. He didn’t seem to want to have anything that we had on hand. I tried to get Chia & Hemp Bars at TJ’s the other day, but they were out. I will have to try to get them today if they are available. Supply chain issues? Possibly!
Today is PJ Day at Glenwood. Bobby wore his Halloween pj’s to school. You can see him talking to one of his friends in the pickup line in the photo to the left. He told me later in the day that he came in second place. I guess Beatrice, one of his classmates, wore pj’s as well. Some kids, such as Manny, did not wear pj’s.
Bobby told me that he had hummus and vegetables for lunch again today. What’s up with that?
I baked some oat acorns in the oven for an hour. I wanted to see if they were edible or not. They were NOT! Hard as a rock. I thought that the seeds inside an acorn were supposed to be edible? My wife told me that they used to grind it down in Lithuania and make coffee. That’s about all you could do with these!
I went to Aldi this afternoon for supplies. They had a funnel cake mix for under $2, so I picked it up. It came in a yellow pot. My wife made them this evening. They were not too sweet, and Bobby didn’t care for them. Katie, on the other hand, ate two of them! Bobby had me make two PB&J sandwiches as I also picked up some strawberry jam.
Katie modeled her new winter coat for me this evening.
