Day #4698 (Wed., Nov. 16, 2022) – “Hocker”

On the drive to Glenwood today Bobby made a very interesting statement.  He said, “You know, taking my iPad away was supposed to be a punishment, but it really is not”.  He is certainly less argumentative and stressed out now that he is not spending time on it.  Now we need to figure out how to get Katie to limit her time on the device…

Bobby had a pizza bagel for lunch today.  He said that he will eat it and in his eyes it is certainly better than chicken teriyaki.  We got talking about girlfriends and he said that by the time he gets back to the iPad Brin will have probably moved on… 🙂

This afternoon the kids and I played the “Scavenger Hunt Game” that we got during the pandemic (see photo to the right).  I would give the kids three cards and they would run around the house and try to find those items.  The first person who made it back to the desk with those items was the winner.

Bobby gave a name for the game that we have been playing in the front yard, “Hocker”.  It is a combination of “hockey” & “soccer”.  In this game, 5 goals by either side is the winner.  I will protect the car port “goal” and Bobby will protect the hockey net “goal”.  Bobby can kick the soccer ball and I can hit it with a hockey stick.  Quite a fun little game, and it certainly gets your heart rate up.

The only problem we have now with “Hocker” is that the ball will sometimes fall down the little hill.  I need to get some of the extra fencing that we used to make Maple’s fence and put it on the edge of the driveway to prevent the ball from rolling down.
