Day #4736 (Sat., Dec. 24, 2022) – Christmas Eve
It’s Christmas Eve, and the last day of the Advent Calendars for another year. For Day #24 of the Advent Calendar Katie received some sweat pants and Bobby received the last of his magnetic tiles.
This afternoon I asked Alexa where Santa was, and she chimed in that he was in Madagascar. I will have to check back in this evening when Bobby is around.
The fridge for our new apartment downstairs arrived this afternoon. The people who sold it to us are replacing their appliances with stainless steel ones, so they were happy to get rid of it for $100.
This afternoon the plan was to go to McDonalds for dinner, see some Christmas lights, and then drop off some gifts at Arnesa’s house. So, we started off at McDonald’s where we all got something to eat. My wife tried their new quarter pounder QLT burger, which she liked. The kids and I each got a cheeseburger combo (mine with Coke and theirs with fruit punch). The kids and I also got an ice cream. We sat in the parking lot and saw the raccoons go in and out of the McDonalds garbage cans for their own Christmas feast.
Next up, the animatronic house in Briar Chapel, the same house that does the Halloween spectacular. Well, they didn’t have any animatronics, but Santa was there, and they had a great snow machine (see photo to the left). My wife and Bobby got out but were soon back in the van as it was so cold.
We then stopped off at Arnesa’s house but it appears they were not home. We decided to not leave the gifts in case the “porch pirates” got them.
Back home, Bobby was tired and soon in bed. My wife and I wrapped the Christmas gifts and Katie soon appeared to help clean up the living room for tomorrow’s festivities.
