Day #4767 (Tue., Jan. 24, 2023) – Dog Man
Bobby got up late today so I had to rush him to school. He got out of the car at about 7:52 am, but we didn’t get a “tardy” email from the teacher, so it looks like we might have just made it…
Katie is not feeling well this morning so she is home. My wife took her to the doctor who said that she has swollen lymph nodes. She also ran a test to see if she has the flu or not.
After dropping Katie off at school this morning my wife went to the local library to pick up some “Dog Man” books for Bobby to read (see photo to the left). He’s into these books as of late, and was very excited when I told him on the way home from school this afternoon that five of them were waiting for him on his bed. He was so excited that he didn’t want anything to eat, but sat on his bed and actually finished one of these books by the end of the day.
I told my wife about the “Hardy Boys” series of books that I read as a boy when I was Bobby’s age. Will these books be next on the agenda?
I went to Aldi this evening to pick up milk. We are out of drink packs and Fruit Loops as well.
It’s late and we still have not gotten a reply from the doctor on whether Katie has the flu or not.
