Day #4831 (Wed., Mar. 29, 2023) – Dress Like A Teacher Day!

Today was “Dress Like A Teacher Day” at Glenwood.  It sounded like “T-Shirt” when I first heard it, so I asked Bobby “Are you going to dress like socks tomorrow”?  Bobby told me that he was dressing like Mr. Judd, who is one of the teaching assistants.

There was a problem driving to Glenwood today.  Police were blocking off the street near the cemetery at UNC.  I had to turn around and go back through the route paste Silver Spot Theater.  As it turned out, a tree was down.  Mr. Bennett, the principal, opened the car door for us.  He said that I didn’t need to sign Bobby in today as a lot of people were late due to the road being closed.

Bobby says that his English teacher, Mrs. Wolk, is planning on going to Victoria this summer.

Katie is so frustrated with her English class.  They had a substitute teacher today who was meek as a mouse.  I guess that the class got out of control so much that anyone who wanted to learn was out of luck.

I picked up Bobby at the bus stop this afternoon and we promptly went to Flyleaf Books (see photo to the left) to pick up the latest “Duckman” book which was a birthday present from Ethan.  It was just published!

Bobby had taken to poking a pencil through this t-shirts.  My wife had to throw a couple of them out (including a nice Ocracoke souvenir t-shirt).  We talked to him and I guess he’s bored in class and this is one thing that he’s taken up to pass the time.
