Day #4871 (Mon., May 8, 2023) – Stallion Visit
I dropped Bobby off at Glenwood this morning and picked him up at the bus stop this afternoon. Usually “Mini” Ruth is yelling bye out the bus window, but not today. Bobby told me that she was trading Pokemon cards at the back of the bus with her friends. Bobby’s lunch today was chicken nuggets, and they played with balls in PE class.
I took the kids to horseback riding this afternoon. This was the first time that I took them since the onslaught of the pollen a couple of months ago. There doesn’t seem to be any signs of pollen in the air anymore. Am I safe? Hope so. The photo to the right shows Rainy, the horse that Bobby rode today. Katie rode Spring, and I will upload her photo in a few days.
Spence’s brought a stallion over to the farm to day to have some work on her hoofs done and the mares went wild with all their whinnying and neighing… I asked the trainer Laura why Rainy and Spring didn’t seem to be making any sounds and she said that they were too old to care about a Stallion being here…
Watermelons are back in season. My wife picked up a couple of them today at the grocery store. While she was out she also picked another basket of strawberries. Delish!
