Day #4872 (Tue., May 9, 2023) – Wife’s Birthday

I asked the kids to make birthday cards for their mother and they gave them to her today.  Bobby couldn’t wait till this evening, as Katie wanted, and gave it to her this morning.  I took her out to Kipo’s Greek Taverna (see photo to the right), near Aldi’s for lunch today as well.

Here’s what we had at Kipo’s:

  • MEZE TRIO WITH PITA fava santorini, melitzanosalata, tzatziki $12 vegetarian
  • George’s Gyros choice of protein, tzatziki, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and fries wrapped in house pita bread (I had the lamb and my wife had the chicken).

Her friend from Portland sent her some roses and macaroons.  This afternoon, when Katie got home from school, they cleaned up the front yard and put the bikes next to the grill so that they were out of the way.

I picked up Bobby this evening at Spence’s Farm.  He was in the garden with Mary Beth when I arrived.  He told me that they were picking beets.  He said that they also grow “Garlic Grass”, which you can eat.

On the drive home we talked a bit about the soccer tips that I gave him the other day.  He remembered quite a few of them, but it’s good to review them.
