Day #4892 (Mon., May 29, 2023) – Klondike Bars

It’s Memorial Day in the US today. Wet and rainy…has been all weekend. Poor people who rented a cottage on the beach…

I made two Sunflower Seed & Jam sandwiches for Bobby for lunch today.  I also made a chicken kebab platter (see photo to the left) for my wife and Katie who were doing her homework on Katie’s bed.  Katie said that the chicken kebabs were too spicy and my wife thought that the yogurt dip I made (with TJ’s Greek Yogurt and honey) was a too sweet.

Both kids enjoyed having a Klondike ice cream bar this afternoon, their very first.  I introduced it to them by asking “What would you do for a Klondike bar?”, as the jingle goes…

Bobby had a nap this afternoon, low and behold, but it was rather short.

Katie is learning all about the dictators in the era around World War 2.  I showed her the famous Mussolini speech from the balcony where he is giving that famous defiant and arrogant stance.

Katie and Bobby were playing online with Dylan this evening.  Apparently Dylan doesn’t talk to Carson much anymore.  I suggested that they call Carson as they always liked Carson and Bobby actually said that along with Walker he is one of the nicest guys he has ever met.

Just before bedtime this evening Katie read us her English essay about the horseback riding camp she will be attending this summer.
