Day #4928 (Tue., July 4, 2023) – Multi-Disk CD Player
Happy 4th of July everyone! We decided to “lay low” today and stay at home. We didn’t even venture out to see the fireworks, even though we could hear them this evening. The kids love the “Captain Crunch Patriotic Cereal” that I picked up at Aldi the other day (see photo to the left).
I said that we didn’t venture out (at least as far as major festivities are concerned), but I did stop off at Harris-Teeter this morning to pick up a Red Baron pizza and a chocolate pie. When I got home I showed Katie and Bobby how to cook the pizza as per a recipe in the family cookbook I made a few weeks ago. My wife and I actually prefer the Red Baron pizza as opposed to the pizza we pick up for the kids at Aldi…the crust is crunchier and not as “pillowy”.
Oh, that bone that I picked up for Maple the other day? We need to make sure that Ginger doesn’t eat it. I caught her behind the dining room table munching on it this afternoon.
My wife went to pick up a second hand CD player near SouthPoint that someone was selling via Facebook Marketplace. She needs a multi-player CD player as the kids are on different books in Suzuki with their viola/violin lessons these days. As it turns out we also need speakers, so my wife ordered some via Amazon. They will be here in a few days.
Both my wife and I have been feeling very dehydrated all day. We even took a nap this afternoon! Not sure why, but a lot of water sure helps…
