Day #4936 (Wed., July 12, 2023) – Katie’s Drawing
The CPI report came in this morning, better than expected. Inflation is down to about 3%, so it looks like the Fed’s program is working… Stocks soared!
Katie was not feeling well so she stayed home from Spence’s Farm Camp today. She did the drawing shown in the photo to the right. Here’s what her teacher had to say:
Yes, I’m very surprised with Katie’s progress. She is improving so fast. I think it’s a testament to her great attitude!
What I mean is… For many of my other students, if I suggest a change, they will begrudgingly fix it. “Oh alright… Mr. Chris.” It’s definitely a lot of work to erase something you worked on, and draw it over.
On the other, when I suggest changes for Katie, she says.. “Omg that’s such a great idea. I just changed it and it looks so much better!” She has a great attitude, very strong growth mindset. This will get her very far in life as long as she continues to keep challenging herself. 🙂

Ethan didn’t come over to play this afternoon after Spence’s Farm Camp. His mother is concerned that Katie is sick. She doesn’t want Ethan to catch whatever she has.
Bobby has a nasty cut on his foot. He says he cut it this afternoon, and has been hobbling about this evening.
