Day #4971 (Wed., Aug. 16, 2023) – Skating Bobby & Ethan
Bobby has been making his own smoothies with the Ninja blender as of late. We just have to make sure that he either soaks or cleans up the blending cup after each use.
My wife took Bobby and Ethan to the skating rink in Hillsborough this afternoon (see photo to the left). They came off the rink rather quickly at first, so my wife thought it was over, but after a drink of water they were back at it.
After skating Ethan stayed at our house for the afternoon. The kids were kind of lost without their computers, but Ethan really likes the swing in our front yard. They have to battle Katie for it at times… 🙂
Katie got a history book in preparation for the upcoming school year. She was hoping that it would be more of a world history recap, but it mostly deals with US history.
Bobby was a bit fussy during his violin practice session with mom this evening, but after some praise and encouragement he shaped up. My wife will play the piece on our new multi-disk CD player beforehand and this really helps Bobby with his ear to play the piece better.
I found some mascarpone cheese at Harris-Teeter! It’s in the deli section, not with the other cheeses as one would expect. I guess this is to be expected given the fact that I found the vegetarian chicken-less patties in the frozen breakfast food section the other day.
