Day #4972 (Thu., Aug. 17, 2023) – 3D Drawing!
My wife took Katie to some consignment stores in the Carrboro area this afternoon. I tended to Bobby. Bobby and I started off by doing a 3D drawing that I saw on Pinterest (see photo to the left). Pretty cool eh? We then made a paper airplane and launcher that I also saw on Pinterest. Bobby was really into the 3D drawing, but the airplane not as much. I notice that Bobby has never been into airplanes and space stuff like I was when I was his age.
I asked Bobby if he wanted to do the car model kit we have laid out on the patio but he said maybe later. I think this is just too slow and boring for him. I’m not sure if we’ll ever get back to it, but Katie expressed a bit of interest in it…
I made Bobby a pizza for lunch today. I let him watch Netflix while he ate, but when Katie returned she said that she caught him watching YouTube, which we are regulating now that he is learning bad words from it.
My wife took Bobby to his karate class this evening. There was some question as to whether he would be able to go as he was complaining about his legs being sore from skating yesterday. My wife told me that the 10-year old “almost black belt” girl was there and even did the warmup today. After class they went right to the Clark Pool.
This evening Katie and I were watching a YouTube video where two girls, one a junk food addict, and the other a healthy eater, switched diets. Katie got inspired by the diet of the healthy eater. The only problem is that it involves salads, brussell sprouts, and wheat grass. I’m not sure how much Katie is into those.
