I drove Bobby to Glenwood this morning. He was not feeling 100%, but almost nothing could keep him from school today as he was going to talk to astronauts!
After dropping Bobby off at Glenwood I went to Trader Joe’s. True to form, the 6-pack of yogurts were there as soon as I entered the doors at 8 am (see photo to the right). I picked up 4 6-packs, one of each variety. Bobby will be stoked!
Regarding the astronaut talk today, there was a bus from Glenwood to a big auditorium where a number of children were assembled. JJ, one of Bobby’s classmates, got the chance to ask a question to one of the astronauts circling the globe in the Space Station, and all of his classmates got invited to the event as well. One of the astronauts Bobby told us was Frank Rubio. Bobby was very excited about this bus as it had a television in it… 🙂
The question that JJ asked was “What is the temperature where you are”. The reply was it’s comfortable in the space station, but too cold to survive outside the space station.
In other events today, my my wife went to Sam’s Clubs to get some new glasses, and picked up some supplies in the process. They sell ZBars in bulk at Sam’s Club, so this will probably be our “go to” location in the future as Bobby loves them so much.
I picked Bobby up at Spence’s Farm just before 6 pm this evening. He was playing basketball with some other boys and said he had fun. I asked him if he wanted me to pick him up early anymore and he said that he was fine for now, I guess he has made some new friends at camp.
Katie’s braces are bothering her. They are scraping the inside of her gums causing a lot of pain. This evening Katie told me that Cecily loves to talk about personal things, perhaps a bit too much, and complain about other people, but at least she asks Katie how she is doing and how her day went afterward.
