Day #5004 (Mon., Sept. 18, 2023) – Bobby Finds A Washer
I picked up Katie at school today. This was her first day back after being sick for so long. I was first in line today! There was a lady who got there just before me, but she let me go ahead of her and take the top spot.
I picked up Bobby at Spence’s Farm this afternoon. My wife packed him some ravioli to eat on the way home, but it was too hot to eat.
On the drive home we stopped off at a nearby office complex to see if we could find any coins. Bobby got out of the car with the metal detector while I drove nearby. He found a washer (see photo to the right), which he actually spotted from the car, but no coins. It really did look like a coin shining from a distance. He really liked the process so we talked about going out to a park or stadium to try our luck there sometime.
Also on the drive home Bobby mentioned how he was looking forward to getting a motorized “anything” that he could ride. A scooter, skate board, go kart, anything… I thought about this some more, and realized how much I wanted a motorbike when I was a kid, so I talked it over to my wife this evening. We decided to get Bobby a new motorized scooter like Ethan has. Here’s what we picked out courtesy of Amazon. It will be here in a few days.
